Pediatric Associates of Richmond follows the immunization schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. This schedule is based on decades of safety and effectiveness data. Our providers believe that vaccines prevent illness and save lives. Reducing and eliminating the symptoms and complications of childhood vaccine-preventable illnesses is one of the most important roles we have as pediatricians. We discuss vaccines at every well child check-up, and we are here to answer your questions.
We are not accepting new patients whose parents choose not to vaccinate their children, or inadequately vaccinated patients whose parents are opting not to further vaccinate their child
If your child is a current PAR patient and you have made the decision not to vaccinate as required*, a provider of your choosing would like to discuss within the next 6 months your future vaccination plans and determine if we are the best medical home for your family. We are happy to schedule an appointment with you to discuss this further. Please feel free to contact our office to schedule this appointment. If you have scheduled, or planned to bring your child in for a check-up within the next 6 months, it will be discussed at that time, and a separate appointment may not be needed.
*Required vaccines are indicated by the Center for Disease Control and Virginia Department of Health, and include the following:
DTaP, Hib, HepA, Hep B, MMR, MenACWY, PCV, IPV, Rotavirus, Varicella
