Retirement Announcement from Laura Duke, CPNP-PC, IBCLC

To the Friends and Families of PAR:

In September, 1999, I sent my youngest to kindergarten and started at Pediatric Associates of Richmond (PAR) as their second pediatric nurse practitioner, a new chapter in my life. For over 26 years, I have had the privilege of working at this special place…helping babies latch…watching children grow…seeing families thrive. With you, I have shared smiles, achievements, frustrations and a few tears. It has been the greatest joy of my career. I have looked forward to each and every day of work. I have learned so much from each and every one of you.

The time has come for me to move on to my next chapter. I will be retiring effective March 2, 2026. While I am sure that I will stay busy keeping up with my retired husband and eight grandchildren, I will truly miss you all…the friends and families of PAR. Thank you for the trust you have given me and the honor of working with your families. It has meant more to me than I can say. Matthew L. Jacobson said “Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first.” Know that I believe in you all.

With great affection,

Laura M. Duke, CPNP-PC, IBCLC
