A Retirement Farewell by Robin Allman, C.P.N.P., I.B.C.L.C.

Dear PAR family and friends:

One of the best decisions I ever made was to join PAR back in April 2000.

We’ve been through a lot together: snow storms, 9/11, tornadoes, hurricanes, H1N1, an earthquake, power outages, transitioning to electronic medical records, then upgrading them, and finally, a pandemic. Just like parenting, it seemed like forever at the time, and then, it was over in the blink of an eye.

And now as the pandemic is, hopefully, fading, it is time for me to retire.

I have been overwhelmed and humbled by the trust you parents have put in me as we cared together for your marvelous children. I have been thrilled to see your children begin the next generation of babies, and return to PAR for their care. It’s been so much fun answering your questions, and trying to make you laugh away your understandable nervousness about caring for these miraculous creatures we call children. Remember, you’re doing great!

I will miss you all so very much. It has been a wonderful 21 years, but now the time has come to work in my garden.
