Dear PAR families,
It is with mixed emotions that I announce that I will be stepping away from Pediatric Associates of Richmond this September. For almost 15 years now, I have been blessed to have a home at PAR. It has been a privilege to work with such an amazing staff that truly cares for children. It has been an honor to work with this team of health care providers, who are the best of the best and who I learn from every single day. Above all, I am humbled by the trust so many parents have placed in me over the years to care for their children. Getting to watch your children grow and develop over the years has given me so much joy, and I will forever be grateful for the role you allowed me to play in that process. For all these reasons and so many more, it is very difficult for me to turn the page on this chapter.
I do not leave Pediatric Associates of Richmond in search of a better practice. I continue to feel that you cannot find better care for your child anywhere in Richmond. My wife and I chose to bring our oldest daughter here for care well before I had ever been asked to join the group, and we will continue to bring both our daughters here for their care going forward.
Though the full picture of the next chapter is not yet clear, I am excited to pour more time and resources into medical care for the underserved. Ultimately, I have felt called down a path, and I cannot deny the passion and the purpose that it has provided. I am lucky enough to be in a position to follow that further and feel that now is the correct time for this change.
