  1. New Gardasil schedule for patients under 15

Gardasil will now be only a 2-vaccine series for patients who receive the first dose before their 15th birthday.  The second dose should be administered 6-12 months after the 1st.

If your adolescent starts the Gardasil vaccine series on or after their 15th birthday, a 3-dose series is recommended.  Dose #2 is administered 2 months after the 1st, and dose #3 is administered 4 months after the 2nd.

These recommendations come from the October 2016 meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), which is a panel of experts that advises the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on vaccines.

Adolescents under 15 who have already received two doses, but less than 6 months apart, should receive a 3rd dose at least 4 months after the 2nd, as previously recommended.

  2. ADHD prescription refills going digital!

Tired of coming in every month to pick up that paper prescription for your child’s ADHD medicine?

Starting January 2017 you will have the option of having those monthly prescriptions sent to the pharmacy electronically.

This service will cost $25/year per child, and is non-refundable.

You will still need to call each month when your child is due for a refill.

Signing up for this service will eliminate, however, the need for you to come to the office to pick up the prescription each month.

We will continue to require seeing your child/adolescent every 6 months for a med check or their annual check up.

Parents will still have the option of picking up a paper prescription each month at no cost.

**Please note that not every pharmacy accepts electronic prescriptions for ADHD medications, and you should confirm with your pharmacy prior to submitting the form to us.**

If you have any questions you can ask your doctor or nurse practitioner, or a member of our front desk staff.

Please download & fill out the e-prescription form, and bring it with you the next time you come to the office. We will accept payment at that time.
